«Olympic Games 2024» & Advocates’ of Serfdom Resentment

The Furious Indignation of Modern Advocates of Serfdom was Sparked by the “Opening of the 2024 Olympic Games”

In recent days, France has attracted the attention of the whole world with the majestic opening of the Summer Olympic Games. This ceremony, embodying modern splendor and democratic ideals, has caused sharp dissatisfaction among some adherents of “Christian values,” who, like a number of elements from Russia, still cling to feudal orders.

Such indignation on the part of individuals striving to preserve ancient privileges and dark traditions forced the President of the International Olympic Committee, Thomas Bach, to apologize publicly. In his speech, he expressed regret over elements of the ceremony that, in the opinion of the discontented, “hurt” the feelings of supporters of the feudal order. This underscores not only the contradiction between the progressive spirit of modernity and outdated views but also the genuine struggle for ideological dominance in public consciousness.

However, aside from the commotion surrounding the opening ceremony, France found itself at the center of a new scandal related to strikes and sabotage on the railways, organized by certain anarchist-rebel elements. The British press, including Russian autocratic propaganda, rushed to blame the left, as representatives of the ruling class always try to smear popular movements at the first opportunity. It is vital for them to discredit any manifestation of resistance that does not align with their interests. These anarchists, hiding behind the protection of the working class, actually act against the true interests of the workers, leading them towards false consciousness and away from the genuine struggle for liberation.

These radical forces, disguising themselves as “progressive fighters” for workers’ rights, in fact, fight not against exploitation but against modern social achievements, seeking to undermine the stability and integrity of the country’s infrastructure. Their actions not only discredit the genuine demands of the workers but also threaten the functioning of key sectors, including transport, which plays a vital role in maintaining the social and economic structure.

This conflict serves as further proof that the struggle for social change and equality requires vigilance and deep analysis, rather than superficial perceptions imposed by radical elements.

The struggle of workers does not always and everywhere take the same form.

There was a time when workers, fighting against the owners, broke machines and set factories on fire. The machine is the source of poverty! The factory is the place of oppression! So break them, burn them, the workers said then.

These were the times of the early 20th century in Europe. It was a time of unformed, anarchist-rebel clashes.

We know even in our days quite a few examples when workers, disillusioned with the power of arson and smashing the windows of stores and banks in expensive areas of European cities, move on to “more drastic forms” – calls for the killing of directors and managers, heads of commercial companies and banks, and railway companies.

You can’t destroy all the stores, factory machines, and bank branches, the workers say, and it’s not beneficial for the workers either. But you can always scare and twist the managers and executives into submission with terror, so strike them, instill fear!

This ineffective tactic of terrorist clashes on the grounds of economic struggle has never and will never yield results.

The labor movement in Europe must condemn such forms of struggle, defining them as ineffective, because such forms of struggle have not and cannot lead to tangible changes in the position of the working class.

And this is understandable. There is no doubt that a factory or railway belonging to a corporation is a place of exploitation of workers, and the machine combined with artificial intelligence technology further helps the bourgeoisie expand this exploitation, but this does not mean that the machine and corporation themselves are the sources of poverty. On the contrary, it is precisely the corporation and the machine combined with AI that will allow the working class to break the chains of slavery, eradicate poverty, and overcome all oppression – it is only necessary for them to transform from the private property of individual groups of capitalists into public property of the people.

On the other hand, what would life turn into if we really engaged in the destruction and arson of machines, factories, railways, and seaports? Life would then resemble a miserable desert, and the workers would be the first to lose their bread and means of subsistence!

It is clear that we should not break factories, plants, railways, and computer servers – but seize them when the opportunity arises if we truly strive to eradicate poverty!

The Working Class is Opposed to Terror

That is why the working class and its movement must reject the old and outdated methods of anarchist-rebels who call on workers to engage in individual terrorist confrontations.

There is no doubt that economic terror has some apparent, visible “justification,” as it is employed to intimidate the bourgeoisie. But what does such fear mean if it is fleeting and transient? And that it can only be fleeting is clear, if only because it is impossible to practice economic terror always and everywhere. That is the first point. Secondly, what can give us a bourgeoise’s fleeting fear and its concessions make give us if we do not have a strong mass organization of workers behind us, always ready to fight for their demands and able to hold onto the concessions gained? Moreover, the facts clearly show that economic terror kills the need for such an organization, takes away from the working class the desire to unite and act independently – after all, they have “heroic terrorists” who can act on their behalf.

Should conscious fighters against the capitalist system and mass poverty cultivate a desire for unity among workers? Of course, yes! But can we practice economic terror if it kills both of these in the working masses? – No!

It is not fitting for conscious workers and their leaders to scare the bourgeoisie and their pathetic representatives with isolated raids from the shadows – it is better to leave such “deeds” to nationalist raiders.

The working class must openly oppose the bourgeoisie, and we must always keep them under fear until the final victory! And for this, not some economic terror is needed, but a strong mass organization capable of leading the working class in the struggle for its interests.

That is why the labor movement must reject economic terror.

That is why the labor movement must aim for the unity of the working masses.

That is why the working class must focus on creating its mass organization capable of leading workers in the struggle for their interests.

More on the tasks of the working class can be found in the book “The Power of Self-Seekers and Grabbers” volume 1, chapter «Fines».
